Add terms to an academic year
Academic Years & TermsConfigure academic years and terms for your institution. Academic years organise students into yearly cohorts, while terms (semesters, trimesters, quarters) structure the academic calendar within each year.
Step-by-step
- 1Open the academic year you want to configure.
- 2Click "Add Term" within the year.
- 3Enter the term name (e.g., "Semester 1", "Term 2", "Quarter 3").
- 4Set the start and end dates for the term.
- 5Add multiple terms to represent your institution’s academic calendar.
- 6Terms help organise subject assignments and assessments.

Open Admin Dashboard and click "Academic Years" in the sidebar.

In the Academic Years list, click "Edit" on the year or term you want to modify.
