Deactivate your institution (Security)
Institution Preferences & SecurityControl your institution’s appearance, notification routing, general preferences, and security settings. Configure page-level visibility toggles for 9 profile sections, set up enquiry email routing across 4 categories, choose timezone/currency/language, and manage deactivation or permanent deletion.
Step-by-step
- 1Go to Settings → Security in the Preferences group.
- 2Click "Deactivate Institution" to temporarily hide your institution.
- 3Deactivating hides the institution from search results and public view — only you (the owner) can still see it.
- 4Your data, posts, courses, and settings are preserved during deactivation.
- 5To bring it back, return to the Security settings and click "Reactivate Institution" — the toggle works both ways.
- 6Deactivation is useful if you want to temporarily take your profile offline without losing any data.
