Permanently delete your institution (Security)
Institution Preferences & SecurityControl your institution’s appearance, notification routing, general preferences, and security settings. Configure page-level visibility toggles for 9 profile sections, set up enquiry email routing across 4 categories, choose timezone/currency/language, and manage deactivation or permanent deletion.
Step-by-step
- 1In Security settings, scroll to the danger zone and click "Delete Institution".
- 2Step 1: A confirmation dialog appears — you must type your institution’s name exactly to confirm.
- 3The dialog lists everything that will be permanently removed: all institution posts, courses and programs, enquiries and notifications, and follower connections.
- 4If your institution has published articles, a second step appears.
- 5Step 2 (if articles exist): Choose what to do with your articles — delete them permanently or reassign them to another user or institution.
- 6Click "Delete Permanently" to finalise — this action is irreversible.
- 7After deletion, the institution URL becomes available again and all associated data is removed.
